italy 2

hahah...ok...here's day 2 of italy...there are more pics this time so i hope i dun get bored and irriated b4 i load them all this time...ENJOY! day2 of italy! POMPEI and....er....some palace..somewhere in Caserta..

ok..this is not in any of these place...frankly i dun really rmb..i think its from the 1st day near the spanish steps..but anyway...i love the italian balconys...they're so pretty with the flowers and all..all its missing is a grandma sitting there or some casanova with gel-laden hair with a guitar..ahaha..

ok..this is pompei..im only putting the more interesting and different things...coz well..ruins are ruins...civilisations are mor or less the same...so if you want..go take a look at melia's blog with the ruins from turkey (ephesus)..

so anyway..this is quite cool...those blocks? its meant for ppl to cross the street when it was flooding..ahah...coolness..

ok..coz the city of pompei was essentially destroyed by the volcano eruption..ppl suffocated by the ashes tt were flying in..the sity wasnt hit by larva..it was the ashses tt came form the areas ard tt covered the city...so here you see some bodies when found in various poses..showing you how ppl died... i mean they pumped in palster so tts why you see some solid-like thing..ahaha..

ok so..tts it for ruins..it was LUNCH!! ahah...so...FOOOOOD!!!

salad..its not coz of my camera or the lighting tt the veggies look shiny..its olive oil...salty man..they come with huge trays and dish it out onto your plate..they do this for all the courses...ok..moving on..

pasta...not bad..quite nice..btu i still prefer pastamania marinara...ahaha..and mind you..this is NOT the main course...ahahaha..and LOOK at the portion sia..i din zoom hor..

HERE is the main course...fried seafood..calamari,prawn and fish..not bad lah..ahaha..the seafood platter we had in venice was nicer but yea...ahaha...

ok..aft lunch..we were walking ard outside and....look at those LEMONS...they're the size of.....er...pomelos? somewhat...ill explain what they're used for in the next post...or is it the one aft tt? wadeva..ahaha..

and well..you know..toilet stops and all..they have food kiosks and all..so well..my sis wanted to buy this...marshmallow thing...3 euros? yea..ahaha..i think so..its pretty..and still not eaten btw..haha..

and the hugest box of tic tac ive ever seen...its mango flavoured..cool man..and tts nutella dips..tt comes with a drink..we thot it was oramge juice only to realise later tt is lemon tea...nice tho..ahaha..

ok..so here is the palace...which is again a replica of the one in france (of which i cannot rmb the name again..ugh)..ppl then ah...like things then always copy copy...imitation sia..ahaha..ok..moving on..

ok..out of the palace..heres the GARDEN...ahaha...and yes..it stretches ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK..the mountain area? yea..abt there...took a coach there obviously..ahaha..there are fountains along the whole stretch..and mind you..this is smaller than the one in france..ahaha..

AHAHA..ok...aft tt place..the driver din know how to get to the hotel coaz its a new hotel PLUS the road on the GPS thing were all blocked or too small for the bus...so...we got POLICE escort..ahaha...cool huh?

the BEST PORK CUTLET ive EVER eaten in my life....and the potatoes too..my goodness..creamy like nth and the pork was as tender as my goodness..even chicken is not tt tender..ahhaha..

desert...chocolate mousse.....SHIOKNESS MAN..ahaha..its A LOT...one freakin lump man..ahaha..

ok..kinda 2nd day..i know theres more foods than anythign else...but yea...heh...im hungry now dammit.....steamboat 2mr...YEA..

well well well well welllll...

how was italy?

it was nice..ahaha..maybe im getting too much of the EU countries im seeing the same things over and over again...esp when you see tt the french conquered here and the italians wanted a replica of sth in france and all tt kinda stuff..it was not till the last few days tt i saw stuff tt was TRULY italian..like the leaning tower of pisa,the gondolas in venice,ok colosseum was on the 1st day...but yea...ok...im still like in this ocean rocking motion in my head...so i shall load pics...i shld be doing work but then again..................ahahah...

i'll load the 1st day for now....857 pics in total man the whole trip...only putting some..if you guys wanna see...which i think you should...JUST LEMME KNOW!! aahaha..the mosaics and frescoes are beautiful..

1st up! the colosseum!!

just to illustrate everything tt shld be seen there...there's tt arch thing which is a replica of the one in france ( there you go) and the colosseum..we look pained coz we had just touched down abt 2 hrs b4 getting there..heh..

anyone rmb the lizzie mcguaire movie? the one in italy? ahah...well..the bikes? they ALL look like tt...and i think its so cute..ahaha...and a lot of female motorists...and they look so chic riding them...female friendly bikes...not like the ones in sg..you can wear a skirt and look pretty on these bikes..heh..

ok...we visited soo mnay churches i dun rmb which is which..this one esp since i was still groggy when we stopped here...well..basically..the chains which were used to cuff st peter are here...supposedly lah..apparently DNA has proved the chains to be too new for them..but anyway...you decide..

this altar was in this same church i think..but it was so...prayerful i had to take a pic..heh.

outside the church? food stop numero uno...so cool...heh..

and heres the 1st taste ofitaly.. 2 euros i think...salami and cheese sandwich..yum..wasnt bought from tt food stall tho..tt stall charged 2 euros for a 500ml bottle of water..tts 4 bucks mind you..
vatican time...here's the entrance to the musuem if im not wrong..or....i cant rmb..ahah..the place was TOO BIG..

one more...i cant rmb if this one was carved or painted...yanyan i know i told you its painted but im not sure myself now..ahaha.. even when you're there you have to move abt to see tt its painted on..ahaha..this one was above the doorway..
